How to get to Bangkok center from the airport
There are 2 big airports in Bangkok which are Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Donmuang Airport. This post will show you how to get to the city center from these 2 airports.
1. From Suvarnabhumi Airport
By a taxi
After you take your baggage, head to the 1st floor at exits 3, 4 or 7, 8, and queue to the taxi ticket machine. You are requested to choose the area, if you are unsure about it, just choose a random area and provide the driver with the correct address later. The fee is 50 THB, you will need to pay the taxi fee and the highway fee.
On the ticket, you will see the taxi lane number. All you need to do is coming to the area where your driver is waiting.
Provide your driver with the correct address; he will take you to your accommodation.
By airport train
There is a train system named Airport Rail Link which brings you from the airport to the city center.
Trip schedule: every 30 mins from 06:00 – 24:00 every day.
Price: 45 THB
Station: Suvarnabhumi Airport > Lat Krabang > Ban Thap Chang > > Hua Mark > Ramkhamhaeng > Makkasan > Rathchaprarop > Phayathai.
If you want to use the MRT(underground train) next, stop at Makkasan Station.
If you want to use the BTS (sky train) next instead, stop at Phayathai.
How to buy a ticket: Using a machine or getting it from a ticket counter at the airport. The ticket is a plastic coin.
How to get in: Tap the ticket at the entrance, then you will be guided by the security guard.
2. From Don Muang Airport
By a taxi

By bus and BTS
Go to exit 6, take the A1 bus.
Ticket fee: 30 THB.

Stop at Mochit station. Take a walk 30m, you will see the entrance of MRT. Continue 30m more, you will see the entrance to BTS Mochit station.
Train schedule: 06:00-24:00.
How to buy a train ticket: At a machine or a ticket counter.
The machine is right at the station and is easy to use. You can buy the ticket at the counter for the first time. Later on, trying to buy a ticket in a machine is also interesting.
Step 1: Choose your destination on the machine
Step 2: Insert coins or banknotes as the machine allows
Step 3: Collect ticket and change
Step 4: Check the map and head to the correct waiting area, then get on the train.
